Program Overview
Trail Life USA - The Woodlands (Troop TX-1031) exists to utilize God’s outdoor creation to disciple boys and fathers into an intimate relationship with their Creator, immerse them into the purpose and truth of Biblical masculinity, and commission them as the next generation of life-long followers of Jesus Christ charged with the duty to teach and lead in the days ahead.
Program Format:
The Woodlands Trail
program leverages adult volunteers to teach on 7 core “branches”
in support of well-rounded, Biblical manhood.
Woodlands Trail Program (ages 5-10):
The Navigators program is
overseen by adult troop leaders, but is the first opportunity for boys
to practice peer-leadership. Navigators are grouped into peer-led
patrols, where they learn and practice core leadership and outdoor
skills.
Navigators Program (ages 11-13)
The Adventurers program
offers more freedom and responsibility. While still overseen by an
adult troop leadership, this program is intentionally less structured,
challenging the boys to lead each other (and the younger patrols),
refining their leadership and outdoor skills.
Adventurers Program (ages 14-17)
The Worthy Life Program is what makes
Trail Life USA different from other scouting organizations. Worthy
Life crosses all age program levels and intentionally promotes
spiritual growth throughout the boys Trail Life journey.

Program Costs:
Trail Life USA The Woodlands is run completely by
adult volunteers. Troop dues are 100% utilized for
troop materials and execution.
Trail Life USA Membership Fee: $45/year
Troop Dues: $125/year
Troop Uniform: ~$100
Camping Costs: ~$25/person/trip (~4-6
opportunities/year)
